Dining at Fabrika Villas Restaurant in Guagua, Pampanga

When in the province of Pampanga, food is something that you should not miss out!

Fabrika Villas might no longer be hidden to many. Just like me, most probably you have been seeing posts about it on social media. The property is owned by a family of furniture makers. It is an old factory that is transformed into villas with a restaurant by Souq Pampanga. The villas at Fabrika can be rented exclusively. So, if you are looking for a place that is close to nature, then you might want to consider Fabrika Villas. The restaurant is open to everyone even though you are not staying in any of their villas.

It was a holiday when we went to Fabrika to dine. Thus, I somehow expected that there might be a lot of people by the time we arrive. From Angeles City, after accompanying my brother from his dental appointment, we thought of traveling to Guagua, Pampanga for lunch.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by this Fabrika Dining & Villas signage and bicycles. We proceeded at the restaurant’s reception area and have our name listed on the waiting list. Although walk-ins are welcome, you can actually book a reservation for your convenience. How I wish I did this.

While waiting, I explored the place and took some photos. The restaurant has a tropical vibe. It is mostly made of wood and surrounded by lush greenery. Next to it is a pond which is probably a good spot for a photo op. There are also dining chairs and tables near the pond, but not ideal especially when it’s scorching hot.

Fabrika Dining offers Kapampangan dishes such as asadong matwa, pork sisig, krispy pork binagoongan, and krispy liempo kare kare. You may check on their Facebook page for a complete list of their menu.

After 30 minutes of waiting, we were finally assisted to our seats and have placed our orders. We had krispy pork binagoongan, sizzling salmon ala pobre, salted egg chicken wings, and pasta sa taba ng alimango, which were served an hour later. Serving time is pretty long I must say. Perhaps because it’s a holiday and customers just keep on coming. I honestly do not know if that is the ideal serving time since it’s my first time to dine here. All I know is that I am already very hungry at that time.

The food we had were pretty good. I like the pasta sa taba ng alimango the most, and perhaps next to it is the krispy pork binagoongan. The sizzling salmon ala pobre was also good. I had fun eating most of the green beans since the people with me don’t eat veggies that much. The salted egg chicken wings on the other hand were just ok. But I have to say that the portion size of the chicken is big enough as compared to others.

The staff were very attentive and accommodating in providing our requests. As for the prices, the main dishes would range from 270 to 880 pesos. Yes, it might probably be pricey for some. Aside from that, there is a 10% service charge as well so as you know if you plan to dine at Fabrika.

Overall, the ambiance at Fabrika Dining is nice and serene especially at the pond area. Since it is an open area, and knowing Pampanga, it would probably be humid. There are fans available though. Our food might not have been served right away, yet I tried to understand that probably because it’s holiday and there were a lot of customers. Nevertheless, I would still recommend dining at Fabrika for the experience.

Now, where to next after filling our stomach with good food? Of course, to chill in a cozy café with a cup of coffee. We headed to Nuan Café next in Bacolor, Pampanga.
