Cafe Ana: A Korean-inspired Café in Angeles City that Everyone Talks About

Cafe Ana is a Korean-inspired café located in Friendship Highway, Angeles City. It opened during summer of this year and from then on, if not friends telling me that we should try it, I keep on seeing posts about this place in social media.

THE CAFÉ INTERIOR

Christmas is in the air when me and my friends went to Cafe Ana. They recently decorated the whole coffee shop with Christmas decors. Upon entering, we were greeted and assisted nicely to our seats by which I think is the Korean owner, and even offered another chair for our things.

What I noticed right away is the tall enclosed box at the center of the coffee shop. If I am not mistaken, they change the decoration inside depending on the season. Since Christmas is around the corner, a white Christmas tree is inside with blue sparkling decorations on it.

The counter area is very spacious and neat in the eyes. The staff who took our order was kind and patient enough to entertain our inquiries because we can’t decide which one to get. I can say that they are trained well because they know what to answer and what they offer in their menu.

Their reindeer headband is so cute.
I find these chairs with pink and blue cushion nice that I want one.
Most of the photos I saw in social media were in front of this mirror.

Honestly, in general, I am not attracted that much about the aesthetic feels of this coffee shop at some parts. Or maybe I just got overwhelmed on how the Christmas decors are in place such as the Christmas balls hanging at the ceiling and the Christmas tree pattern on the wall. Don’t get me wrong, Cafe Ana’s interior is nice, it has a pastel color vibe, but I just really prefer something with a wood vibe for places like this. It feels more relaxing that way.

WHAT WE ORDERED

Cafe Ana offers a lot in their menu – coffee, tea, smoothies, and even meals. Seriously, I always end up having a hard time choosing what to order when there’s a lot being offered (kayo din ba?).

Cafe Ana’s Menu

But since I heard that Cafe Ana’s Strawberry selection are really good, I ordered the Strawberry Mango. It is refreshing, delicious, and not too sweet (also no sour taste). The strawberry and mango are not blended together when served. The mango goes in first at the bottom, then the strawberry smoothie on top. They definitely complement each other when you mixed them together. Yummy!

Iced Vanilla Latte, Strawberry Mango Smoothie, and Ana’s Finger Food

My friend on the other hand, ordered Iced Vanilla Latte. According to her, the coffee taste is still there, but it is too sweet for her liking. So, if you’re not into sweet taste for your coffee, it might not be a good one to purchase. Also, I learned that their coffee beans are directly sourced from South Korea.

We also had Ana’s Finger Food, which consists of sausages, potato chips, bite-sized ham & cheese sandwiches, and nachos with onions, tomatoes, and cheese. It’s good for sharing while having that catching-up kwentuhan with friends.

WOULD I RECOMMEND CAFE ANA?

If you love places with this vibe, then yes, go for it. But aesthetic aside about this place, I would really recommend trying their strawberry selection. I might have just tried one from their strawberry selection, but I guess you can never go wrong in any of those. Why? Because they use real and fresh strawberries in making their strawberry smoothies and latte. Plus, I really enjoyed what I ordered (nabitin ako actually) and most likely, that’s what will make me come back to this place.
