CUPTUS COFFEE: A Modest Coffee Shop “Sprouted” in Angeles City

Lately, I have been visiting different coffee shops around Angeles City. I noticed that there have been quite a lot of newly opened coffee places in the city despite the pandemic we are facing, and one of which is Cuptus Coffee.

Cuptus Coffee is a simple, minimalist coffee shop located in the neighborhood of Marisol, Angeles City. It is owned and managed by a group of friends who are Engineers by profession. Cuptus Coffee first started selling online, and eventually opened a physical store last October 2020. It is their love for coffee that led them to pursue the business.

THE CAFÉ

Going to Cuptus Coffee is not that hard since it is located in a known and quiet neighborhood. Upon reaching the place, you will notice that it is an apartment unit transformed into a coffee shop. Inside, it’s very simple and small. The walls are bare and not painted, yet it matched with the lighting, wooden tables & stools, and few decorations. Thus, it still makes the interior worth your Instagram feed.

WHAT WE ORDERED

Just like how minimalist the aesthetic of this place, the same goes for their menu – coffee, tea, and few pastries. Good thing Cuptus Coffee did not make it difficult for me to choose what to order.

The first time we went to Cuptus Coffee, I ordered Iced Sea Salt Latte which is one of their bestsellers. Sea Salt Latte basically is coffee with sea salt cream. I honestly like the hint of salt in this drink because it neutralizes the taste as a whole. I would definitely recommend this drink!

We also tried their Korean Cream Cheese Bun, which is served with hot tea, a perfect partner for breads & pastries other than coffee. The Korean Cream Cheese Bun tastes good. My mom also enjoyed eating hers at home when they gave me one for her (thank you Cuptus Coffee! 😊). She is not a fan of very sweet treats, so this one is her liking.

Other than the Sea Salt Latte, I have also tried the Iced Cuptus Coffee and Iced Caramel Macchiato during my next visits. Cuptus Coffee is perfect for matcha lovers out there who wants their coffee with a hint of matcha. As for the Caramel Macchiato, you can never go wrong with it too. These two drinks are also a must try!

MY THOUGHTS

If you are looking for a new coffee place around Angeles City that offers a decent coffee, then you might want to consider Cuptus Coffee. It may be quite small, yet you can still opt to stay and dine in. It’s also perfect for your Instagram feed. And oh! Did I mention that their coffee costs less as compared to other coffee shops? Yes. That’s right. For me, the prices are affordable. Between the three coffee choices in their menu, the Sea Salt Latte so far is my favorite and what I would recommend.
