Nuan Cafe: A Cozy Industrial Café Tucked in a Resort in Bacolor, Pampanga

I finally had the chance to visit this cafe in Bacolor, Pampanga. After dining at Fabrika Villas and stopping by at San Guillermo Parish Church, we went to Nuan Cafe for a cup of coffee. I actually cannot remember how exactly I have known about Nuan Cafe, probably when I was looking for a farm resort few months ago. Yet, I have added it on my list of cafes to try since then.

Nuan Cafe

Nuan Cafe has a modern-industrial design with brick accent, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and lighting fixtures that are made of steel. The beams and columns also add up to the design making it more industrial. Aside from that, the plants and warm lighting makes the ambiance feel so cozy.

Nuan Cafe offers a wide selection of drinks – coffee, frappes, smoothies, teas, and even batirol. I honestly find it rare to see tsokolate de batirol on the menu of the coffee places I have been to. Usually, when I hear the word batirol, the Choco-late de Batirol in Baguio City would be the first thing that comes to my mind. Anyway, tsokolate de batirol is a chocolate drink made in a traditional way by mixing the ingredients using a copper pot and a wooden tool. The wooden tool is actually called the batirol. It is used by holding the handle between the palms, rubbing them together.

Lychee Iced Tea, Lotus Biscoff, Iced Caramel Macchiato, and Carrot Cake Bar

Salads, pasta, pizza, burgers and meals such as lechon kawali, beef pepper steak, and grilled salmon are also being offered at Nuan Cafe. Breakfast is available from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. And oh, let’s not forget, there are cakes and pastries too! For a complete menu list, you may check on Nuan Cafe’s Facebook Page.

Cakes and Pastries

Since we had our lunch prior, we just ordered something to drink and a carrot cake bar. For our drinks, we had iced caramel macchiato (as always, my go-to espresso drink), Lotus Biscoff, and lychee iced tea. The caramel macchiato was a bit sweet for my liking. Still, the coffee is good. I would still recommend it. If you like cookie spread just like me, the Lotus Biscoff is worth the try.

Iced Caramel Macchiato

Overall, more than the ambiance, I just really like how our experience was. Staying for a while at Nuan Cafe for a cup of coffee was indeed very relaxing. It has this homey vibe. Definitely a great place to dine and catch up with friends and family, or even for “me” time. Aside from that, the staff were very accommodating. They were quick to respond. No frowning faces. Well, I might visit again some other time. I heard from a friend that the food is delicious.

By the way, Nuan Cafe is located inside Nuan Farm and Resort, which is a family-inspired resort. It offers not only accommodation for a quick getaway with friends and family, but it also serves as a venue for various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, seminars, and so on.
