Tom N Toms Coffee: A South Korea-based Coffee Shop has Landed Angeles City

Tom N Toms Coffee is a known coffeehouse chain that originated in South Korea. Just in case you do not know, there are already Tom N Toms Coffee branches here in the Philippines. And just recently, it opened its new branch in Angeles City, Pampanga.

When I first heard about the name of this coffee shop from my brother, it sounded familiar to me. Thinking if I have seen or heard about it somewhere, I realized it’s the Dumaguete branch. I remember a colleague from Dumaguete mentioned and pointed this coffee shop while we were walking along Rizal Boulevard during our trip on the said place.

Together with my cousins and brother, we went to Tom N Toms Coffee to try their coffee and pastries. As we enter the coffee shop, I was surprised how spacious it is. It can accommodate a lot of people who wants their coffee fixed. The tables are not just designed for small groups, but also for bigger groups.

Further, at the back of the coffee shop, there is also a non-airconditioned area to those who prefer to stay outdoor. It is also where the smoking area is located.

If you know me, you would conclude that the ambiance of this coffee shop is ok for me based on my standards because of the wood vibe interior. The lighting is also relaxing. So, if you are looking for a place to relax, read a book, do your work, study, or anything while having a cup of coffee, then this place is perfect for you.

WHAT WE ORDERED

Tom N Toms offers a variety of coffee choices as well as teas, juices, and smoothies. They also have food such as pretzels and breads, which they are also known for. Just like me, you might also be overwhelmed with what food and beverage to order if you happen to visit this place for the first time.

I got attracted right away with their pretzels, especially the breads because they look delicious and soft. We ordered an almond pretzel and a honey butter bread. Indeed, the honey butter bread did not fail my expectation. I like the softness and sweetness of it, plus the cinnamon taste (I love cinnamon) with the whip cream on top. We all agreed that it’s delicious. It’s a must try!

We also ordered the bacon potato tortilla pizza, which we ate right away then realized we forgot to take a photo of it. It’s also good. From its name, it has bacon and potatoes.

As for our coffee, my brother and I got Caramel Tomnccino and Vanilla Tomnccino. This is their version of naming their Frappuccino. It was good enough, but I’m not just very delighted with the Tomnccinos we ordered. I can’t find the coffee taste. It was more like of sweetness for both Tomnccinos. Well, actually, I find their taste similar. I was looking for the balance between the coffee and the sweetness. I might try a different one next time, maybe their blueberry smoothie. I heard from a friend this is good.

By the way, my cousin ordered Iced Green Latte. If you are expecting that KitKat matcha flavor taste, you may want to skip ordering that at Tom N Toms. Just saying. 😊

MY THOUGHTS

Interior and ambiance wise, I like it. I would choose this place to stay if I will be working on something and just wanted to be in a new environment aside from doing it at home. It is absolutely a perfect place not just for your dates with your loved ones and friends, but as well as a place to relax for a bit after a long tiring day. Their food and beverages might be a bit pricey, but I would still recommend trying their pretzels and pastries. You may check on their menu and prices on their Facebook Page.
