Kalidad Coffee: A Minimalist Neighborhood Café in Angeles City, Pampanga

Kalidad Coffee is a nice, minimalist neighborhood café in Angeles City. I have been eyeing to try this coffee shop since the day I kept on seeing its sponsored post on Facebook. But due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I barely go out of the house.

Finally, after one activity done in the morning, and nowhere to go before the next one, I thought of grabbing a coffee with my cousin at Kalidad. It’s also exactly what I need to keep me awake all throughout the day.

THE CAFÉ INTERIOR

The interior design of the coffee shop is simple, yet very nice. Every corner is IG-worthy! Personally, I like the wood vibe and the walls just painted white. The plants complement as well. I appreciate it more since we went during day time and the sun is up. It made the ambiance brighter because of the natural light it provided.

As we enter, we were greeted kindly by their staff. We also had the chance to meet and had a little chat with the owner who is very nice. Good to know that this café is Filipino owned. We learned that they opened few weeks before the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) was implemented due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

WHAT WE ORDERED

Since I just want my coffee basic that day, I got the simplest one from their signatures, which is the Kalidad Coffee. Basically, it just includes an espresso and sweetened milk. I got mine over ice. It was just the way I like it, not too sweet and not too bitter. I am not into strong coffee, so the amount of espresso in their Kalidad Coffee is just enough for me. You may opt for an extra shot of espresso if you want yours stronger.

Kalidad Coffee and the “make it dirty” Horchata

Meanwhile, my cousin ordered Horchata and made it dirty! Horchata includes toasted rice, milk, almonds, cinnamon, and vanilla. What makes it dirty? An espresso shot is added on it. According to her she like the concept of having all those ingredients because she likes roasted rice, cinnamon, and almonds, plus it has to be dirty because coffee is life! She loves and definitely recommends this Dirty Horchata.

Kalidad Coffee’s Menu

Sadly, merienda in the menu is unavailable when we visited. They serve it in the afternoon for merienda so as “merienda” I guess. But I look forward maybe when this pandemic is over it will be available throughout the day so that we can try them any time.

WOULD I RECOMMEND KALIDAD?

Definitely! The place has a welcoming and friendly vibe. It’s IG-worthy too. It might be your new favorite coffee place. The price might be pricey to some, but for me I think it’s reasonable. Their signature drinks are definitely a must try. My cousin and I enjoyed our stay. It seemed we owned the place because we took lots of photo in every corner, giggling, and whatsoever. Good thing we were not kicked out. Just kidding! Surely, I will be coming back.
