Spill the Beans: Coffee Stop Near Ibaan Exit, STAR Tollway

Few days ago, Glenn and I traveled to Ibaan from Lipa City for a quick visit at Paul Semira’s shop to check the embroidery for his barong. As I drive our way to our destination, I was wondering if there are any nice coffee shops in Ibaan, Batangas that offers good yet affordable coffee. To my surprise, I found one!

Just few meters away from Ibaan Exit of STAR Tollway, we passed by and saw the signage of Spill the Beans Cafe. On my mind, though I was a little hesitant, I said “babalikan kita mamaya bago umuwi”.

The way I see it, Spill the Beans Cafe is like a takeaway window cafe. Yet, it has tables and chairs for customers who want to dine alfresco. We actually stayed a bit after ordering, but we realized it was somehow hot and humid since we went almost 1 o’clock in the afternoon.

WHAT WE ORDERED

I was actually torn if I will get Caramel Macchiato or Spanish Latte, which are my usuals. But for a change, I ended up ordering Coffee with Cream Cheese, while Glenn chose the Salted Caramel Frappe. Seriously, I like their coffee. It’s strong and flavorful (for my level of liking ah). I can taste the bitterness of the coffee. I mean, some kasi is nakukulangan ako sa tapang ng kape.

Anyway, have you noticed the cost per cup of coffee on their menu? For me, as compared to other coffee shops, theirs is cheaper, yet the quality is there. These are the kind of coffee shops I am looking for. By the way, the bestsellers are those with the coffee bean mark on the menu. They have cookies and brownie too.

MY THOUGHTS

If you are traveling nearby and needed a quick coffee fix, then Spill the Beans Cafe is a good stop. Coffee is good at a reasonable price.

I enjoyed my iced coffee. I have not yet finished mine as we traveled back to Lipa City, but I was already looking forward to my next visit at this coffee shop. I told Glenn that we should stop by again the next time we have an appointment in the area. I saw from the reviews that the Peach Iced Tea is good and a must try. Now, I am torn if I will go for something fruity or coffee. Let’s see when that time comes. Or maybe, I should just ask Glenn to get the Peach Iced Tea and I’ll have coffee. 😉
