Sheepy’s Surfside Beach Resort, Mati, Davao Oriental

Sheepy’s Surfside Beach Resort is a great accommodation if you are looking for a comfortable and nice place to stay in Mati. It is a beachfront property that is located along Dahican-Bobon Road. This resort is very accessible and it’s just few minutes away from the known Dahican Beach.

The resort has a tropical vibe. It’s very nice and relaxing. There is a swimming pool fronting the beach which gives you a pleasant view with palm trees standing tall. There are also rattan hammocks placed near the shore that are free to use.

Honestly, every corner of Sheepy’s Surfside Beach Resort is great for picture taking. I like how each photo turned out especially with a group of friends who are very game and fun to be with to the point that even in front of the camera, we tease each other. Less decent photos I guess, but lots of candid ones which I love. Anyway, for more photos, see photo gallery.

It was nearly getting dark when we arrived to check-in. We were then accommodated to our room at Wallaby, which is a bungalow room for two with breakfast included. Since we were a group of 5, we paid extra. There are also bigger rooms available that can accommodate bigger groups.

We went for a night swimming when we finally settled in. It was a perfect way to end the long day we had for our road trip to Mati.

The room we had was very neat, clean, and comfortable. It has two beds and a mattress to accommodate us. It is airconditioned, has towels and toiletries, hot and cold shower, bidet, and a cable TV.

Breakfast at Sheepy’s includes the meal itself, fruit, coffee, and tea. I can barely recall what other meals for breakfast they offer, but as for us, we chose pork tocino and corned beef. Each includes an egg and a piece of tomato and cucumber. Very little serving in there I must say which is somehow unsatisfying. Taste isn’t bad though. Bitin lang talaga. A friend even bought a cup noodle just to be satisfied.

Overall, breakfast aside, this place has a chill vibe. It is indeed a comfortable and great place to stay. Every corner is pleasing in the eye, thus really great for picture taking. I would still recommend it if comfort is your priority.
